R Frerichs MD, FAAP
Dr. R received his medical degree at Vanderbilt Medical School in 1986 and completed pediatric residency at UNC, Chapel Hill. Dr. R joined North Raleigh Pediatrics full-time in July 1989. He was certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in 1991, with latest re-certification in 2012. Dr. R and his partner purchased the property at 7205 Stonehenge Drive in 1993, where the practice is now located. He has served as a preceptor for UNC medical students since 1997. He is currently Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at UNC School of Medicine. In 2006-07, he served a two-year term as Chairman of Pediatrics at WakeMed.
Christina Flannelly MD, FAAP
Dr. Christina M. Flannelly graduated from the University of Virginia in 1984 with a B.A. in Biology and English Literature. She attended Duke University School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency training at UNC Chapel Hill in 1991. Dr. Flannelly has practiced part-time at North Raleigh Pediatrics since July of 1991. She was certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in 1991, with recertification in 1998 and 2005. She is a member of the North Carolina Pediatric Society and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Michele McMillan MD, FAAP
Dr. Michele McMillan grew up in Greenville, North Carolina. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Morehead Scholarship finalist majoring in biology, graduating in 1990. She returned home for medical school as a Brody Fellow Scholar at East Carolina University School of Medicine, graduating in 1994 with honors in pediatrics and as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. Her pediatric residency training was at Duke University from 1994-1997. Dr. McMillan joined North Raleigh Pediatrics in 1997.
Chris Wilson MD, FAAP
Dr. Wilson grew up in Oxford, NC. He earned undergraduate degrees from North Carolina State University. After graduation, he worked with GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals prior to pursuing his long time goal of becoming a physician. He earned his medical degree at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He then completed 2 years of pediatric residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL, before returning home to complete his third year of pediatric residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Dr. Wilson then moved to Raleigh and worked in a rural pediatric practice in Henderson before seizing the opportunity to practice at North Raleigh Pediatrics.
Nirali Dubal MD, MPH, FAAP, IBCLC
Dr. Nirali Dubal joined North Raleigh Pediatrics in January 2006. She completed her medical degree in India and relocated to the U.S. in 1995. Dr. Dubal obtained her Masters in Public Health with a focus in maternal and child health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Thereafter she served her internship and residency in pediatrics at Flushing Hospital in New York, an affiliate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Dubal is board certified in pediatrics and in addition, she is an internationally board certified Lactation Consultant. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the North Carolina Pediatric Society. Dr. Dubal is on staff at Wake Medical Center and Rex Hospital . She has practiced in the Triangle area in private practice settings since January 2003 until joining North Raleigh Pediatrics in January 2006.
Stephen Ray Coleman MD, FAAP
Dr. Coleman grew up in the Orlando area of Florida, both before and after Disney came to town! He went to college at Florida State University and then to medical school at the University of Florida College of Medicine. He served as a pediatric intern and then as a resident in Pediatric Medicine at Children's Hospital of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. He returned to central Florida to practice in 1983 and then returned back to Raleigh in 2000 and joined North Raleigh Pediatics in 2010.
