North Raleigh Pediatrics Newsletter Patient Portal Launch!

We are excited to launch our New Patient Portal! We are now requiring that all patients register for the Patient Portal. We want you to be able to get your child's lab reports, immunization records and be able to send a message to your doctor. You may also request an appointment in advance and update your demographic and insurance information without making a phone call. If you have more than one child you can have them all in one proxy.

However, at the age of 18 your child will be asked to fill out a new HIPAA form, which gives them the authority to decide who has access to their medical information and are invited to set up their own patient portal account. After the age of 18, we cannot speak to the parent regarding health information without permission from the patient.

It is time for school physicals!! Call us today and schedule your child's physical for school and/or camps.  If you have a physical form that needs to be filled out, bring it to your appointment. If you've already had your yearly physical and need to drop the form off in our office, please fill out your required portion first. We ask 48 hours to fill out physical forms.

If you have an emergency form that needs to be completed sooner, please let our staff know and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. In order to fill out a physical form and have it signed by the doctor, the physical for your child must have occurred within a 12 month time frame.

Annual well child appointments are required for all children on ADHD medication. ADHD follow up appointments cannot be scheduled with a well child visit. Depending on the doctor, a child who is stable needs to be seen every 3-6 months for an ADD follow up. Required forms can be found on our website under the Forms and Policies tab on the home page. Forms should be turned in prior to the visit for the doctor's review. ADHD needs to be managed by the same physician for all ADHD visits.
